when the museum will unveil
its special exhibition
"Bronze Tone and Jade Virtue:
Inkstone Culture Themed Exhibition".
展览打破传统“年代性叙事”展览模式，以“书写文明—文房地位—工艺审美”为展览脉络，以“砚承文脉、艺载匠心”为核心立意，聚焦砚的历史文化价值、文房地位与工艺美学，实现由“器物展示”向“文化解读”过渡。让观众聚焦砚文化本质而非砚的时间流变，诠释“玉德”为文人君子修身品格的深层内涵。
The exhibition breaks away from the conventional chronological exhibition format, but follows a narrative thread of "Civilization of Writing – The Inkstone's Role in the Study – Craftsmanship and Aesthetics". It takes the core concept "Inkstone Carries Cultural Lineage, Art Embodies Craftsmanship" and focuses on inkstone's historical and cultural value, the role in the study, and craft aesthetics, to enable the transition from artifact display to in-depth cultural interpretation. Instead of tracing the temporal evolution of inkstones, the exhibition invites visitors to delve into the core essence of inkstone culture, and interprets the deeper meaning that "jade virtue" represents the moral character essential for the cultivation of scholars and gentlemen.
展览计划展出砚台及相关文物60余件/套，从书写文明、文房地位、工艺与审美开展叙事，重点向观众展示砚台所蕴藏的文化内涵，旨在推动中华优秀传统文化在新时代绽放新光彩，让跨越千年的东方雅韵在接续奋斗中代代流淌、历久弥新。
The exhibition will feature over 60 pieces (sets) of inkstones and associated cultural relics, and be organized around three themed sections, namely civilization of writing, the inkstone's role in the study, and craftsmanship and aesthetics, to highlight the profound cultural connotations embedded within inkstones. The exhibition aims to promote the outstanding traditional Chinese culture to shine with renewed brilliance in the new era, enabling the timeless elegance of the East to endure through generations and remain ever fresh through persistent efforts.
