This time, Bolan Museum of Contemporary Art joins hands with X·ART Gallery to grandly launch Mists Upon Paper, Traces of Ink Charm — an online special exhibition of Chen Huajun's Landscape and Flower-and-Bird Paintings. Centered on the core themes of the cultural lineage of landscape art and the artist’s original aspiration, the exhibition presents dozens of works created by Chen Huajun, condensing the profound aura of traditional Eastern landscape painting and the vivid charm of floral and avian creatures into every brushstroke on paper, creating an elegant cloud-based gathering of Eastern ink-wash aesthetics for viewers.

Chen Huajun’s creations have always been rooted in the spiritual core of Eastern landscape cultural lineage. Taking brush and ink as the medium and inner temperament as the soul, he integrates the essence of traditional literati painting — "artistic conception first, capturing spirit through form" — into his creative expressions across diverse media. His landscape paintings are not confined to rigid depictions of real scenes; instead, through the layering of thick, light, dry and wet ink washes, he outlines the remoteness of layered mountains and the ethereal quality of misty clouds. Every brushstroke embodies the integrity of mountains and rivers, and every ink tone reflects reverence for nature. His flower-and-bird works abandon mechanical imitation, depicting the lively charm of flora and fauna with agile lines and gentle hues. Each flower and bird is full of spirituality, every gesture brims with warmth, truly achieving the harmony between scenery and emotion, and the connection between brushwork and heart.

X·ART Gallery, a rising local contemporary art space under Xiamo Art Space, was officially founded in 2023.
Centered on the philosophy of Openness, Academicism & Diversity, we provide artists with an experimental and professional platform for creation and exhibition. We are committed to promoting unique and avant‑garde exhibition projects and high‑quality artworks, as well as discovering and nurturing young artistic talents.
Based in Lishui, we help local artists gain national exposure, while building a bridge for artistic exchanges with artists around the world. We strive to build X·ART into a dynamic hub for contemporary art in southern Zhejiang.
