At the press conference, Maria Porro, President of the Milan International Furniture Fair, defined the 2026 exhibition as follows:

"In an era full of geopolitical and economic uncertainties, Salone is consolidating its role as a global strategic platform. We are not just an exhibition, but also a continuously evolving cultural and economic infrastructure."

2026年最令人期待的,莫过于EuroCucina(欧洲厨房展)与国际卫浴展的双年展回归。

 EuroCucina + FTK:厨房进化为“生活中枢”

“厨房正在成为整个家庭的智能心脏。”

The most anticipated event of 2026 is undoubtedly the return of the biennial EuroCucina and the International Bathroom Exhibition.EuroCucina FTK: The kitchen evolves into the 'hub of life'.

"The kitchen is becoming the smart heart of the entire home."

本届EuroCucina将汇集 来自17个国家的106家参展商 。趋势关键词非常明确:

  • AI集成:智能冰箱可以识别食物、推荐食谱;智能烤箱根据食材自动调整烹饪曲线

  • 生物设计:FSC认证木材、抗菌陶瓷、再生层压板成为主流

  • 社交厨房:开放式布局让厨房与起居室无缝融合,岛台变身社交中心

  • 隐形科技:感应式灶台、隐藏式抽油烟机,技术消失于无形,体验却无处不在

刚刚被联合国教科文组织列入非物质文化遗产的“意大利 cuisine”,正在通过设计语言,将厨房从功能性空间升级为承载记忆与创造力的情感场所。

This edition of EuroCucina will bring together 106 exhibitors from 17 countries. The trend keywords are very clear:

  • AI Integration: Smart refrigerators can recognize food and recommend recipes; smart ovens automatically adjust cooking curves based on ingredients.  

  • Biodesign: FSC-certified wood, antibacterial ceramics, and recycled laminate become mainstream.  

  • Social Kitchen: Open layouts allow the kitchen to seamlessly blend with the living room, turning the island into a social hub.  

  • Invisible Technology: Induction cooktops and concealed range hoods make technology disappear from sight while the experience is everywhere.

The Italian cuisine, which was recently inscribed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, is transforming the kitchen through design language, upgrading it from a functional space to an emotional place that carries memories and creativity.

国际卫浴展:当“wellbeing”遇到“longevity”

如果说厨房是“心”,那卫浴就是“愈”。本届国际卫浴展汇聚 14个国家163家参展商 ,关键词是 “居家水疗”与 “长寿设计”。

  • 无障碍美学:步入式淋浴、防滑但美观的表面、隐藏式扶手——设计让人感受不到“障碍”

  • 模块化与可修复:产品设计考虑未来更换部件,延长使用寿命

  • 智能但安静:数字淋浴系统、感应龙头、防漏智能阀门,卫浴正在“静默连接”

“卫浴空间必须能够经受时间与习惯的变化,而不牺牲美学与舒适。”

International Bathroom & Sanitation Expo: When 'wellbeing' meets 'longevity'

If the kitchen is the 'heart', then the bathroom is 'healing'. This edition of the International Bathroom & Sanitation Expo brings together 163 exhibitors from 14 countries, with the key themes being 'home spa' and 'longevity design'.

  • Accessible Aesthetics: Walk-in showers, slip-resistant yet attractive surfaces, hidden grab bars—designs that make obstacles feel nonexistent.

  • Modular and Repairable: Product designs consider future part replacements to extend lifespan.

  • Smart but Quiet: Digital shower systems, sensor faucets, leak-proof smart valves—bathrooms are becoming ‘silently connected’.

Salone Raritas:

收藏级设计的“稀有时代”

"Rare Era" with Collector-Level Design

2026年最值得期待的全新板块,非 Salone Raritas(稀有沙龙) 莫属。

什么是Salone Raritas?

它是一个专注于 收藏级设计 的全新平台,汇集了精选的标志性作品、孤品、限量版、古董以及高端创意工艺 。简单说,这是为那些“不能被量产”的设计专门搭建的舞台。

The most anticipated brand-new section of 2026 has to be Salone Raritas.What is Salone Raritas?It is a new platform focused on collectible design, bringing together a selection of iconic works, unique pieces, limited editions, antiques, and high-end creative crafts. Simply put, it is a stage specially built for designs that "cannot be mass-produced."

Spatial Design: A 'Architectural Lantern'Formafantasma envisions the space of Salone Raritas as a 'large architectural lantern'—a transparent landscape space with bold material usage, designed to highlight the exhibits without overshadowing them.Andrea Trimarchi (co-founder of Formafantasma) describes it as:

"This is a hybrid space between commerce and museum: a choral journey of dialogue with color and materiality. All elements are designed to be detachable and reusable."

为什么是现在?

Annalisa Rosso 解释道:

Why now?Annalisa Rosso explained:

"In the fields of international hotels, residential real estate development, and experiential retail, limited-edition pieces and furniture are increasingly being used as levers to shape identity and market positioning. Bringing collectible-grade design to the Milan exhibition means taking the lead in a rapidly expanding sector."

For architects, interior designers, and hoteliers, Salone Raritas offers a rare opportunity: direct access, in the core B2B setting, to the ‘identity assets’ that can bring soul to high-end projects.  Sabine Marcelis will also create a special project for this space, distilling light, material, and perception—something to look forward to.

Aurea:

走进一座“虚构酒店”

Entering an 'Imaginary Hotel'

如果你想要更沉浸式的体验,一定要去 A Luxury Way(13-15号馆) 的核心——由巴黎工作室 Maison Numéro 20 打造的 Aurea, an Architectural Fiction。

这并非一座真正的酒店,而是一场 “空间叙事”。

创始人 Oscar Lucien Ono 这样解读

“我们想要表达一种关于好客的个人愿景,在其中,建筑与设计通过叙事性的构图和光与物质的感性对话,塑造出亲密的场景。”

If you want a more immersive experience, you must visit the core of A Luxury Way (Halls 13-15) — Aurea, an Architectural Fiction, created by the Paris studio Maison Numéro 20.This is not a real hotel, but a 'spatial narrative.'The founder, Oscar Lucien Ono, interprets it this way

"We want to express a personal vision of hospitality, in which architecture and design shape intimate scenes through narrative composition and a sensory dialogue of light and material."

空间体验包括:

Spatial experiences include:

  • Hall of Dreams: Archways and soft lighting, introducing a dreamy world

  • Velvet Salon: An immersive space where time seems to stand still

  • Forbidden Oasis: A private lounge with an Art Deco style

  • Thousand Nights Suite: An intimate palace reminiscent of an Eastern fairy tale

  • Midnight Bar: A secret and ghostly elegant venue

整个装置融合了装饰艺术、超现实主义、电影语言与东方象征主义。更重要的是,所有材料与家具的选择都遵循可持续标准——比如与 Nagami Design 合作,使用从海洋回收的塑料进行3D打印制作家具 。

The entire installation integrates Art Deco, surrealism, cinematic language, and Eastern symbolism. More importantly, all material and furniture choices adhere to sustainability standards—for instance, collaborating with Nagami Design to create furniture through 3D printing using plastic recovered from the ocean.

Luxury is no longer about showing off; it is a conscious and responsible choice.

SaloneSatellite:

年轻设计的“手艺+创新”

Young Design's 'Craft Innovation'

每一年的 SaloneSatellite(卫星展)都是未来的风向标。2026年第27届的主题是:

“Maestria artigiana + Innovazione”(精湛手艺+创新)

  • ? 700名 35岁以下设计师

  • ? 43个国家

  • ? 23所国际设计院校

Every year, SaloneSatellite is a trend indicator for the future. The theme for the 27th edition in 2026 is:“Maestria artigiana   Innovazione” (Masterful Craftsmanship   Innovation)

  • 700 designers under 35 years old

  • 43 countries

  • 23 international design schools

策展人 Marva Griffin Wilshire 希望通过这个主题,让年轻一代重新发现 “手工制作”作为设计、文化和政治行为的力量 。

在 AI 与数字代码的时代,这些年轻设计师正在回归触觉、人性和诗意的“手作”。这是一种融合——手工艺不惧工业,反而作为盟友,为标准化流程注入独特性和真实性。

Curator Marva Griffin Wilshire hopes to use this theme to allow the younger generation to rediscover 'handmade' as a force in design, culture, and politics. In an era of AI and digital codes, these young designers are returning to tactile, human, and poetic 'craftsmanship.' It is a fusion—craftsmanship does not fear industry; on the contrary, it acts as an ally, injecting uniqueness and authenticity into standardized processes.

Beyond the product, within the design

Maria Porro 在发布会结尾时说的一番话,或许最能概括2026年米兰展的意义:

“Salone Raritas 让我们探索独特性、标志性和高端工艺的价值;Salone Contract 为我们开辟了面向快速扩张领域的新方向;SaloneSatellite 则让我们持续关注35岁以下的人才——他们是未来最充满活力的实验室。”

What Maria Porro said at the end of the press conference may best summarize the significance of the 2026 Milan Expo:

"Salone Raritas allows us to explore the value of uniqueness, iconic designs, and high-end craftsmanship; Salone Contract opens up new directions for us in rapidly expanding sectors; and SaloneSatellite keeps us focused on talents under 35—they are the most vibrant laboratories of the future."

当设计不再只是产品,而是系统、叙事、文化和战略资产,米兰展就是那个让这一切发生的地方。

When design is no longer just a product, but a system, narrative, culture, and strategic asset, the Milan exhibition is the place where it all happens.
