以广东美术馆新馆开阔的公共空间为场域，
持续探索
公共艺术在当代社会语境中的可能性。
该展览汇集二十余位来自不同文化背景的当代艺术家作品，涵盖广东美术馆重要馆藏、艺术家借展作品，以及来自高校研究机构的前沿艺术实践，在美术馆新馆中央大厅集中呈现。不同于传统“白盒子”式的展陈方式，展览将作品置于观众必经的公共流线之中，使艺术不再是被动观看的对象，而成为可被“相遇”的存在。
Nice to Meet You Here — The 2nd GDMoA Public Art Exhibition takes the expansive public spaces of the Guangdong Museum of Art (BAIETAN) as its site, continuing to explore the possibilities of public art within contemporary social contexts.
The exhibition brings together works by more than twenty contemporary artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, featuring key collections from the Guangdong Museum of Art, loaned works by invited artists, and cutting-edge artistic practices from academic research institutions, all presented within the museum’s central hall. Departing from the conventional “white cube” exhibition model, the artworks are embedded within the museum’s main circulation routes, allowing art to be encountered rather than merely observed.

本次展览中的雕塑、装置与数字媒介在开放空间中彼此呼应，引导观众从匆匆行走转向驻足感知，在身体、空间与作品之间建立即时而真实的联系。
展览同时特别呈现香港科技大学（广州）元宇宙与计算创意研究中心（MC² ）的前沿科技艺术项目“幻实之境SURREALITY"，该项目由MC² 主任许彬教授发起，围绕混合现实（Mixed Reality, MR）与人工智能（AI）的艺术创作展开，以建筑与空间尺度为创作基础，通过虚拟与现实的交织，拓展公共艺术在沉浸体验与交互方式上的想象边界。这一实践回应了当代技术如何介入公共空间，并重塑观展方式与感知结构的议题。
在“人文湾区”建设的背景下，本次展览不仅呈现多元艺术形态，更尝试以公共艺术作为文化对话的媒介，激活城市空间中被忽视的感知与记忆。观众在行走与停留之间，成为作品意义生成的一部分，也在不断的“遇见”中，重新理解公共空间、他者与自身的关系。我们期待每一位观众在此展开不期而遇的对话，在美的沉思中看见彼此、理解交汇，共同想象。
In the open space, sculptures, installations, and digital media resonate with one another, inviting visitors to slow their pace and engage sensorially, forming immediate and embodied connections between body, space, and artwork.
The exhibition also features a special presentation of SURREALITY, a frontier art and technology project by the Center for Metaverse and Computational Creativity (MC² ) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)，led by Professor Pan Hui, Director of SURREALITY, Director of MC². Developed through mixed reality (MR) and artificial intelligence (AI), the project operates at an architectural and spatial scale, weaving together the virtual and the real to expand the imaginative boundaries of public art in terms of immersive experience and interaction. It responds to contemporary questions surrounding how emerging technologies intervene in public space and reshape modes of perception.
Situated within the broader context of building a Cultured Greater Bay Area, the exhibition seeks not only to present diverse artistic forms, but also to activate public art as a medium for cultural dialogue. As visitors move, pause, and encounter the works, they become active participants in the generation of meaning—reconsidering their relationships with public space, with others, and with themselves. We invite every visitor to engage in unexpected encounters and dialogues, and through moments of aesthetic reflection, to see one another, understand intersections, and collectively imagine a future shaped by deeper cultural awareness.
