Subsea Production System
Introduction of offshore oil and gas, subsea production system as well as the future of energy were shared from the speech.

Strategic resources as offshore oil and gas can play a vital role on the country's development. From the global overview, according to IEA report in 2018: the globally confirmed reserves of offshore petroleum and natural gas account for 20.1% and 57.2% respectively of the world's total reserves. In the past 10 years, the average size of newly discovered offshore oil and gas fields has been significantly higher than that of onshore fields. Among them, deepwater oil and gas fields have an average reserve size of 480 million tons, which is approximately 16 times that of onshore oil and gas fields. The China overview was also shared in the session.

Subsea production system is complex and challenging. The top 3 Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) in the world are all from US.
The future of offshore energy was prospected, including wind power, subsea mining and NG Hydrate 可燃冰.

Oil and gas is the traditional energy, while photovoltaics (PV) is the renewable energy. Three aspects including technics, economics and TIC company were shared in the speech.

From economical perspective, the PV system cost analysis was shared by comparison between centralized PV power plant vs distributed PV power plant. The cost of solar panels accounted for nearly half of the total cost.
China ranked top in the global PV industry while facing challenges from local authorities in certain overseas markets.
TIC ("Testing, inspection & certification
")industry and DEKRA as an example of TIC companies were introduced.
