十六位艺术家共筑“正在发生”的艺术现场。
《NOW当代艺术实践邀请展》在东莞东地艺术空间正式拉开帷幕，以“NOW——艺术进行时”为核心主题，集结十六位具有独立精神的艺术家，呈现一场聚焦“当下时态”的学术性群展。
Sixteen artists jointly build an ongoing art scene.
The NOW Contemporary Art Practice Invitational Exhibition officially opens at Dongdi Art Space in Dongguan. Centered on the core theme "NOW – Art in Progress", it gathers sixteen independent-minded artists to present an academic group exhibition focusing on the present tense.
本次展览以双馆联展形式呈现，东地仓库画廊与东地艺术空间同步展出，横跨暑假、中秋与国庆黄金周期，展期持续至2026年10月18日。两处场馆联动，共同构建这场关于“当下”的艺术实践现场。
Presented as a dual-venue joint exhibition, the show is on simultaneous display at Dongdi Warehouse Gallery and Dongdi Art Space. Running through the summer vacation, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day golden holiday period, the exhibition lasts until October 18, 2026. The two venues work in tandem to jointly construct this art practice scene centered on "the present moment".
东地仓库画廊主理人、策展人钟东伟致辞表示：“二十年来，我们秉持赤子之心深耕当代艺术，从东地仓库画廊到东地艺术空间，这段路程见证的是我们对艺术在城市中价值理解的不断深化。当下艺术生态正经历深刻裂变，AI技术、数字媒介全面渗透，传统边界不断被打破——我们选择回到现场，聚焦‘正在发生’的艺术现实。”
Zhong Dongwei, curator and manager of Dongdi Warehouse Gallery, delivered a speech stating: "Over the past two decades, we have devoted ourselves to contemporary art with sincere passion. The journey from Dongdi Warehouse Gallery to Dongdi Art Space bears witness to our deepening understanding of art's value within the city. The current art ecosystem is undergoing profound transformation. With AI technology and digital media pervading every corner and traditional boundaries constantly being broken, we choose to return to the art scene and focus on the unfolding artistic reality."
特邀嘉宾艺术家刘成瑞亦在开幕式上分享其以身体为媒介的创作实践。他发起的“十年计划”及行为作品《一轮红日》《剩徒》等，以诗性与残酷交融的语言，回应着时代的命题。
刘成瑞表示：“真正有价值的艺术，始终发生在具体的现场与真实的生命经验之中。东地仓库画廊二十年如一日地支持独立艺术家的自由表达，从寮步到CBD，从仓库到艺术空间，它所构建的不仅是一个展示的场所，更是一个让‘正在发生’的艺术得以生长、被看见的土壤。这正是当代艺术最需要的实践精神。”
Special guest artist Liu Chengrui also shared his body-based creative practice at the opening ceremony. His Decade Project and performance works A Red Sun and Survivors respond to the propositions of the times through a poetic yet unflinching artistic language. Liu Chengrui remarked: "Truly valuable art always emerges from tangible scenes and authentic life experiences. For twenty years, Dongdi Warehouse Gallery has consistently supported independent artists in their free expression. From Liaobu to the CBD, from a warehouse to an art space, it has built far more than an exhibition venue — it is fertile ground where unfolding art can grow and be witnessed. This is precisely the spirit of practice that contemporary art needs most."
特邀嘉宾喻旭东在发言中指出，“NOW”这一策展命题的可贵之处，在于它拒绝将艺术固化为风格标签或圈层身份，而是将艺术重新拉回“问题现场”。在一个展览日益沦为社交事件与资本叙事的时代，敢于以“正在发生”的姿态面对公众，本身就需要勇气与判断力。他盛赞东地仓库画廊二十年来持续为“未完成的、进行中的”艺术实践提供空间与土壤，不急于定义，不急于变现，在制造业城市的核心地带为独立精神保留了一块稀缺的飞地——“这不仅是东莞的幸事，也是中国当代艺术生态中不可忽视的个案。”
Special guest Yu Xudong pointed out in his speech that the merit of the curatorial theme "NOW" lies in its refusal to freeze art into stylistic labels or niche identities, instead pulling art back to the "site of real issues". In an era where exhibitions are increasingly reduced to social events and capital-driven narratives, it takes courage and discernment to face the public with an ethos of "art unfolding in real time".He praised Dongdi Warehouse Gallery for two decades of continuously providing space and fertile ground for unfinished, ongoing artistic practices. The gallery resists hasty categorization and commercial exploitation, preserving a rare enclave for independent spirits in the heart of this manufacturing city. "This is not only a blessing for Dongguan, but also an indispensable case within China’s contemporary art ecosystem," he commented.
本次展览明确摒弃固化的艺术圈层与派系标签，邀请陈梓菁、陈姿安、归荣彪、河夫、何镒、黄奕、贾江宏、廖清峰、陆欣伟、刘泠杉、赖时光、石开元、肖维、赵伯祚、张毅、钟琳十六位创作者参展。他们大多素未谋面，无创作同盟，各自以绘画、装置、影像、雕塑、数字艺术、综合媒介等独立语言面向世界发问，构成一场跨越边界的艺术邂逅。
This exhibition deliberately rejects rigid art cliques and factional labels, featuring sixteen creators: Chen Zijing, Chen Zi'an, Gui Rongbiao, He Fu, He Yi, Huang Yi, Jia Jianghong, Liao Qingfeng, Lu Xinwei, Liu Lingshan, Lai Shiguang, Shi Kaiyuan, Xiao Wei, Zhao Bozuo, Zhang Yi and Zhong Lin. Most of them have never met and share no creative alliances. They each interrogate the world through independent artistic languages including painting, installation, video, sculpture, digital art and mixed media, forming a boundary-crossing artistic encounter.
