《云端下的文化肌理》汇集了创意与创新学院（ICI）视觉传达设计与数字媒体艺术专业的作品。展览标题旨在反思当代生活的隐性根基，以及转瞬即逝与可触物质、真实与想象之间的张力。它追问：在那些调节我们对世界体验的系统与图像之下，究竟隐藏着什么？这也正是本次展览推出的艺术家与设计师们在发展自身创作语言、创意表达、阐述他们的创作关切与志向时努力回答的问题。
本次展出的作品共同穿行于一个由技术变革、环境不确定性与文化转型所塑造的现实景观之中。它们以不同方式，在不确定性之中寻找清晰与联结的瞬间，探索在复杂与变化之中，仍有哪些事物可以被确立为依据。随着人工智能等新兴技术持续重塑我们交流、创作、思考与理解世界的方式，来自 ICI 的这批艺术家与设计师不仅将其视为工具，更将其作为充满创作可能性与批判性探索的场域。
本次展览汇集了各式各样的作品，从对中国文化传统的当代诠释，到通过拼贴、动态影像与声音展开的个人叙事。非虚构影像、实验媒体项目以及自主调查探索了参与、感知、记忆、人工智能与日常生活状态等议题。这些项目反映了我们共同的好奇心：我们该如何应对这日益复杂的世界，如何在持续的转型中保持专注、批判性和想象力。
‘The Ground Beneath the Cloud’ brings together works from the Institute of Creativity and Innovation’s (ICI) Visual Communication Design and Digital Media Arts programmes. The title reflects on the hidden foundations of contemporary life and the tensions between the ephemeral and the material; the real and the imagined. It asks what lies beneath the systems and images that mediate our experience of the world. These are questions that the artists and designers featured here are grappling with as they develop their creative voices and articulate the concerns that shape their work and ambitions. The works presented navigate a landscape shaped by technological change, environmental uncertainty, and cultural transformation. In different ways, they seek moments of clarity and connection in the face of uncertainty, exploring what can still be grounded amidst complexity and change. As emerging technologies like artificial intelligence continue to reshape how we communicate, create, think, and understand the world, this group of artists and designers from ICI engages with them not only as tools, but as sites of creative possibility and critical inquiry. The exhibition brings together a diverse range of work, from contemporary reinterpretations of Chinese cultural traditions to personal narratives developed through collage, moving image, and sound. Non-fiction films, experimental media projects, and self-directed investigations explore questions of participation, perception, memory, artificial intelligence, and the conditions of everyday life. Together, these projects reflect a shared curiosity about how we navigate an increasingly complex world, asking how we might remain attentive, critical, and imaginative amidst ongoing transformation.

ICI设计季（ICI Design Season）是厦门大学创意与创新学院以举办毕业设计展为契机推出的年度学术活动品牌，旨在让设计走出校园，与城市更新、乡村振兴、创意产业、AI技术的发展互动，向社会提供创新成果，分享人们对美好生活的需要和愿望。
厦门大学创意与创新学院（Institute of Creativity and Innovation，Xiamen University）是厦门大学（XMU）与英国创意艺术大学（UCA）在艺术设计领域开展合作，经教育部2019年批准成立的厦门大学首个中外合作办学机构，于2020年9月开始办学。学院融合中英双方先进教育理念和特色教育资源，致力于培养一批时代所需的，具有全球视野、批判性思维、先进创意理念与创新能力的高素质、应用型本科拔尖创新人才。
