毛艳阳，1980年生于中国湖南，1998年考入中国四川美术学院油画系，2005年研究生毕业于四川美术学院油画系，获硕士学位。现工作生活于重庆，四川美术学院副教授，硕士研究生导师。

作品获奖：中国新锐画家大奖（CAP）金奖（2007年），获得英格兰艺术委员会（ACE） 基金资助曼彻斯特华人艺术中心（CFCCA）青年艺术家驻留地项目（2008年），中国新锐艺术大展艺术新锐奖（2013年），第五届报喜鸟新锐艺术人物视觉艺术奖（2013年），承担国家艺术基金美术、书法、摄影创作人才资助项目（2014年），入选共青团中央宣传部指导的中国青年艺术家合作发展计划（2021年），2025“ART南京”年度最佳艺术家提名（2025年），2025“ART南京”NIVA七星先锋青年艺术家提名（2025 年）。

作品收藏：作品被英国华人当代艺术中心（CFCCA）、上海青年艺术博览会 、四川美术学院美术馆 、郑中设计（CCD）、成都蓝顶美术馆 、靳羽西女士等重要机构及私人藏家收藏。

Mao Yanyang was born in Hunan, China in 1980. He was admitted to the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1998 and graduated with a master's degree from the same department in 2005. Currently, he lives and works in Chongqing and is an associate professor and master's supervisor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.

Awards and Honors: Gold Award of the China Emerging Artists Prize (CAP) (2007), received funding from the Arts Council England (ACE) for the CFCCA Young Artist Residency Program (2008), New Talent Award of the China Emerging Art Exhibition (2013), Visual Art Award of the Fifth New Talent Art Figure of BaoXi Niao (2013), supported by the National Art Fund for the creation of fine arts, calligraphy and photography (2014), selected for the China Youth Artist Cooperation and Development Program guided by the Publicity Department of the Communist Youth League Central Committee (2021), nominated as the Best Artist of the Year at "ART Nanjing" 2025 (2025), nominated as a Seven-star Pioneer Young Artist at "ART Nanjing" 2025 (2025).

Works Collection: The artist's works have been collected by important institutions and private collectors such as the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) in the UK, Shanghai Young Art Fair, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute Museum, CCD Design & Decoration Co., Ltd., Chengdu LanDing Art Museum, and Ms. Yue-Sai Kan.
