Job Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate retail real estate lease and quasi-lease agreements (including but not limited to concession agreements and sell-in model counter agreements), ensuring alignment with company standards and local regulatory requirements.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to logistics and warehouse agreements, service agreement.
Provide legal advice on a wide range of business matters, with a primary focus on retail real estate, store operations and marketing.
Identify, assess, and mitigate potential legal risks across the operations of supported business functions (BD, operation, retail operation, finance), and develop effective prevention and response strategies.
Manage and coordinate external law firms and third-party consultants to provide accurate and efficient legal support, including dispute resolution assistance for supported business functions.
Collaborate with headquarters and other regional legal team members on global projects, initiatives, and the localization of global policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Deliver legal training to the supported business functions and keep teams informed of new legal developments and changes.
Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Law from a recognized university. PRC Bar is mandatory.
Minimum 8 years of legal practical experience, with at least the most recent 3 years focused on retail real estate, including lease and quasi-lease transactions (e.g., tenancy agreements, concession agreements, consignment arrangements) in reputable multinational and leading domestic retail companies.
Proven experience in negotiating and managing large-scale retail lease portfolios, including flagship stores, department store concessions, and shopping mall tenancies.
Strong business acumen with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal problem-solving.
Excellent communication and coordination skills in both English and Chinese; English proficiency is mandatory (fluent in both written and verbal communication).
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple matters simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting cross-functional teams, particularly in one or more of the following areas: distribution and supply chain, e-commerce or marketing.
Experience with dispute resolution, including landlord-tenant disputes and commercial litigation management.
Prior in-house legal experience in the beauty, fashion, or luxury goods industry.
