4月23日,广州新亚高中国际部DP2年级CAS主题展览正式开展。三位同学以影像记录、个人现场演讲的形式,全方位展示学子在艺术创作、体育实践、社区公益、社会服务中的亲身经历与所思所悟。

On April 23rd, the DP2 CAS Exhibition at AIC was officially launched. Through video documentation and live presentations, students offered a comprehensive showcase of their experiences and reflections in artistic creation, physical activity, community engagement, and social service.

关于CAS

About CAS

CAS,是广州新亚高中国际部IBDP课程中最贴近生活、最彰显学生生命力的核心板块,聚焦创意、活动、服务三大维度,鼓励学生跳出课本、探索自我、丰富阅历、实现成长。

CAS — Creativity, Activity, Service — is one of the most dynamic and life-enriching core components of the IBDP curriculum at AIC. Centered around these three strands, CAS encourages students to step beyond the classroom, explore their potential, broaden their horizons, and grow through meaningful experiences.

?创意类:音乐、烘焙、摄影、拍短片、学乐器等

Creativity: music, baking, photography, filmmaking, learning musical instruments, and more 

?运动类:瑜伽、球队、龙舟、武术、马拉松、滑板等

Activity: yoga, team sports, dragon boat racing, martial arts, marathons, skateboarding, and more 

?服务类:公益志愿、环保、急救教学、心理健康宣传等

Service: volunteering, environmental initiatives, first aid training, mental health advocacy, and more 

于学生而言,CAS 是课堂之外最珍贵的成长课堂,是学生申请文书最真实、最生动的素材,更是支撑学生未来奔赴海外名校、立足全球化社会的核心软实力。

For students, CAS is far more than an academic requirement — it is a vital platform for personal growth. It provides authentic and compelling material for university applications, while cultivating the essential soft skills needed to thrive in a globalized world.

创意表达 Creativity

在创意表达板块,同学们展示了自己参与艺术创作、校园文体活动策划、文创设计、舞台汇演的全部成果。

In the Creativity section, students presented their achievements in artistic creation, campus event planning, cultural and creative design, and stage performances.

艺术不仅是审美,更是表达自我的方式。在一次次创作中,DP2学子们培养了创新思维、耐心与独立构思能力,在方案构思、团队协作、创意落地的全过程中实现了自我突破。

Art is not merely about aesthetics; it is a powerful medium of self-expression. Through continuous creative exploration, students developed innovative thinking, patience, and independent ideation. From conceptual planning to collaborative execution, each step marked a meaningful breakthrough in their personal growth.

体能活动 Activity

在活动板块,展品记录了同学们长期坚持的体育运动与体能挑战。

The Activity section documented students’ sustained commitment to sports and physical challenges.

从日常球类训练、校园运动会、户外拓展,到长期自律的体能打卡、团队体育赛事,同学们通过持续的运动,调节备考心态、锤炼坚强意志。

From daily training and school sports events to outdoor expeditions and long-term fitness routines, students cultivated resilience, maintained balance during exam preparation, and strengthened both their physical and mental endurance through consistent effort.

社区服务Service

在服务板块,满满的公益记录成为整场展览最温暖的底色——

The Service section formed the most heartfelt and inspiring part of the exhibition.

社区志愿活动、公益义卖、社会帮扶、校园公益服务、敬老助学、公共志愿岗位实践等真实案例悉数呈现。三位同学走进社区、走进社会,跳出学生的单一身份,以青年力量回馈社会。

Through community volunteering, charity events, social support initiatives, campus service, elderly care, educational outreach, and public service placements, students demonstrated a deep sense of social responsibility. Stepping beyond the identity of “students,” they actively engaged with the wider community and contributed meaningfully through the power of youth.

Student Voices: Every Step Forward is a Transformation

展览落幕,成长不止。对于走完两年CAS旅程的DP2学子来说,CAS早已不是一项简单的毕业考核,而是贯穿整个IB学习生涯的成长必修课。

Although the exhibition has concluded, the journey of growth continues. For DP2 students who have completed their two-year CAS journey, CAS is no longer a requirement — it has become an integral part of their learning experience and personal development.

“My CAS journey has been a vibant exploration ofcreative, hands on craft ,and outdoor adventures. From Audiobook production, bubble tea making,and nail art to caving, wetland visits, and skiing, I stepped out of my comfort zone.These experience helped me grow up. ”

"CAS helped me step out of my comfortzone by engaging in activities like DIY crafts,nail art and recording audiobook for visually impaired children. Through these experiences, I developed creativity, empathy, and a stronger sense of responsibility toward others. "

Congratulations to Lolita, Annie, and Polina on successfully completing your CAS Exhibition!Two years ago, you may have been cautiously filling out your very first CAS plan on ManageBac. Today, you stand before us with confidence, growth, and a wealth of experiences.

CAS——Creativity, Activity, Service——这三个词,在IB的语境里不仅仅是课程要求,更是一段关于"成为更好的自己"的旅程。从Investigation的好奇探索,到Preparation的精心筹备,从Action的亲身实践,到Reflection的沉淀思考,再到今天这个时刻——Demonstration——你们终于可以将这段旅程,完整地呈现在大家面前。为你们感到自豪!

CAS — Creativity, Activity, Service — is not merely a set of requirements within the IB framework; it is a journey of becoming a better version of oneself. From Investigation to Preparation, from Action to Reflection, and finally to Demonstration, you have completed this journey with dedication and authenticity. We are incredibly proud of you.

整场展览内容饱满、视角丰富,不再是单一的考试成绩,而是全方位、立体化呈现了新亚IB学子有创意、有活力、有温度、有担当的少年模样。

The exhibition was rich in content and diverse in perspective. It moved beyond academic results to present a holistic and multi-dimensional portrait of AIC IB students — creative, energetic, compassionate, and responsible.

现场师生、来访家长驻足观看,认真聆听学生演讲,真切感受到我校IB全人教育带来的蜕变与成长。 

Teachers, students, and visiting parents paused to engage with the displays and listen attentively to student presentations, gaining a genuine understanding of the transformation fostered by IB's holistic education.

作为国内最早开设IBDP课程的国际学校之一,广州新亚高中国际部将持续丰富CAS课程活动、拓宽实践平台,让每一位学子在学术深耕之外,拥有丰盈、完整、多元、热烈的青春,以综合素养赋能名校申请,以开阔格局奔赴广阔未来。
