The artist breaks the shackles of traditional perspective, constructing a multi-dimensional sense of space through the superposition and segmentation of color blocks. The mint-hued foreground, warm orange mid-layer, and deep blue background fold disparate temporal and spatial scenes into a single frame. This approach endows the composition with the order of planar composition, while subtle textural variations in color lend the canvas a vivid sense of vitality. It unfolds like a flowing visual narrative, guiding the viewer’s gaze to wander between fragmentation and wholeness.
Devoid of complete object contours, the work is filled with tangible fragments of imagery: elusive avian forms, textures resembling scales and leaves, and soft pink areas evoking rippling water. Together, they form an intricate array of ambiguous yet vibrant symbols. This non-representational expression is not a severance from reality, but an artistic refinement and re-creation of natural forms. The artist disassembles natural motifs into lines and color blocks, then reorganizes them with subjective logic. Floating between resemblance and ambiguity, the painting opens up boundless interpretive depth.

这个系列我是用一种无意识绘画和有意识破坏画面互相矛盾的工作方式，反复对画面的图像和色彩进行一种消解和破坏。意图通过在绘画的过程中找到一种现实世界与自我的平衡。希望在当下面对海量图像，信息，思维，传播下用自己的艺术创作方式与之交流，链接，对抗。每一张创作我都会反复用刮刀把画完的图像刮掉，再覆盖，再刮掉，再覆盖。在这个过程中去挖掘绘画对我的意义，图像和我的关系。
In this series, I adopt a contradictory creative approach: combining unconscious painting with deliberate destruction of the canvas. I repeatedly dissolve and distort visual elements and colors throughout the work. My intention is to seek a balance between the real world and my inner self amid the creative process.
Faced with an era saturated with massive imagery, information, thoughts and ubiquitous dissemination, I strive to communicate, connect and confront the modern world through my artistic creation. For each piece, I repeatedly scrape off completed images with a palette knife, overlay new layers, and scrape again. Through this cyclical process of erasure and overlay, I explore the essence of painting and the intimate relationship between imagery and myself.

曹继才 Cao JiCai
1988年生于湖北 2007年以专业全国第一名的成绩考入中国美术学院版画系
多年来，陈丹青佳作频出，创作履历丰富且极具分量。早年油画作品《观火》《废墟》先后入选《世纪之星》油画作品展，亮相中国美术学院美术馆，凭借细腻的画面表达与深刻的思想内涵斩获业界认可，其中《观火》更是收获私人藏家青睐；2012 年，原创动画作品《纳》于美院美术馆展出，以独特的艺术构思收获广泛好评。代表作《背影》系列纸本丙烯作品亮相北京大型艺术拍卖会，悉数被资深藏家收藏，彰显其作品独特的艺术魅力与市场价值。
立足于当代艺术语境，陈丹青的创作跨越具象与意象，融合传统美学与现代表达。笔触克制而富有张力，色彩层次温润雅致，画面意象含蓄空灵，于简约笔触中蕴藏细腻情绪，于画面肌理中沉淀人文思考。不拘泥于单一题材与技法，持续探索艺术表达的多元可能，以细腻的视角诠释生活与诗意，赋予作品温度与深度。
