行为艺术中的“身体”总存在着一种两面性：其既作为一种载体、材料而得到高度的重视，同时也无时无刻不遭受着来自艺术家本人的激烈的异化——被展示，被驱使，被以各种各样的方式逼近身体自身的极限。于宙的创作即起始于对这样一具“行为艺术中的身体”的思考：对行为艺术家的表达而言，“身体”是否是必须的？或者说，如果“身体”已长久地影响了我们对行为艺术的理解，身体的极限即构成了行为艺术的极限，那么有没有什么方法能让二者再次延伸？
本次展览主题“欧林撇”源自“奥林匹亚”一词的旧译。作为现代奥运会的发祥地，奥林匹亚同时也是古希腊最重要的圣地以及祭祀场所之一。“欧林撇”希望与之构成一种区别：不展示“身体”，但展示一具具在虚拟空间、消费文化、信息流中“身体的延伸”；不展示“更高、更快、更强”，但展示取代它们的，当下社会的异化所将个体逼至的不同程度的极限。这些作品是“运动”也是“行为”，但也都只在不同权力系统提供的说明书下运作，共同指向我们身体性以及能动性的流失。
The “body” in performance art always possesses a dual nature: while it is highly valued as a medium and material, it is also constantly subjected to intense alienation by the artist—being displayed, driven, and pushed to its physical limits in various ways. Yu Zeu’s practice begins with a reflection on this “body in performance art”: Is the “body” essential to a performance artist’s expression? Or, if the “body” has long shaped our understanding of performance art—and the body’s limits have come to define the limits of performance art—is there a way to extend both once again?
The theme of this exhibition, “Oulinpie,” derives from an old translation of the word “Olympia.” As the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games, Olympia was also one of ancient Greece’s most important sacred sites and places of worship. “Oulinpie” seeks to establish a distinction from this: it does not display the “body,” but rather displays “extensions of the body” within virtual spaces, consumer culture, and information flows; It does not showcase “faster, higher, stronger,” but rather the various extremes to which the alienation of contemporary society has driven individuals. These works are both “movement” and “performance,” yet they all operate solely under the instructions provided by different systems of power, collectively pointing to the loss of our physicality and agency.
艺术家简介
于宙，1997年⽣于东北，毕业于中央美术学院，现⼯作⽣活于上海。于宙的创作实践致力于在传统的行为艺术语法与Z世代所经历的全新荒诞现实之间搭建起一条有效的通路，并借助影像、虚拟现实、现场、装置、商品等媒介拓展行为表演的边界。于宙同时也是移动当代艺术空间Art-Van-Tent（AVT）的创始者，该空间旨在以野蛮、荒诞，同时也专注、独立的态度支持年轻艺术家的创作，并与他们共同“修建来时的路”。
