一群自由画画的人在一个艺术空气自由的空间做展览，想想就开心，不用请领导、不用排座次，人多人少也不尴尬，多轻松的事儿。几个学生，有老有小，画画自己做主，展出自己做主，大家轻松我也轻松。
平时与学生一起写生创作，也都是随意就好，每天晚上聊天都是随机聊一些与艺术有关无关的话题，在这样的氛围中大家把画画成了这样，好与不好且不说，都觉得高兴。平时在单位习惯了给个主题画画，喜不喜欢合适不合适都得画，关系到前途，不开心也得忍着。
画画是让人开心的，当然自己也要开心，画之前先想获奖和钱的事儿，总不痛快，不痛快了还能画好吗？肯定不能，我与同学们在一起就是让大家都痛快。今天这样一场展出大家喜欢不喜欢呢？反正我们自己挺喜欢的！
Just thinking about a group of painters who paint freely holding an exhibition in a space with a free artistic atmosphere makes me happy. There's no need to invite leaders, no need to arrange seating by hierarchy, and no awkwardness whether there are many people or few—what a relaxing thing. There are several students, both old and young. They decide what to paint and what to exhibit all by themselves. Everyone is relaxed, and so am I.
Usually, when sketching and creating with students, everything is kept casual. Every night, we chat randomly about topics, whether related to art or not. In such an atmosphere, this is how everyone's paintings turn out. Regardless of whether they're good or bad, everyone feels happy. Normally, at work, I'm used to painting based on assigned themes. Whether I like it or not, whether it's suitable or not, I have to paint. It's tied to my future, so even if I'm unhappy, I have to hold back.
Painting is meant to make people happy, and of course, one should be happy oneself. If you think about winning awards or money before starting to paint, you'll always feel uneasy. Can you paint well when you're uneasy? Definitely not. Being with my students is all about making everyone feel carefree. Do people like this exhibition today? Well, we ourselves really like it, anyway!

李晓柱，河北人，二级教授，中国国家画院人物画所首任所长，研究员，艺委会委员，博士生导师。2024年获威尼斯凤凰国际艺术奖；2025年获“佛罗伦萨2025年度杰出贡献奖。2024个展“地涌金莲”李晓柱绘画作品展在西班牙欧洲当代艺术博物馆举办；2024年“地涌金莲”系列作品8幅参加佛罗伦萨当代艺术展；2024年在“维尼斯双年展”举办“地涌金莲”系列作品平行展；2025年罗马安德森博物馆举办“重生”李晓柱艺术作品展。2024年在798举办“心涌金莲”李晓柱绘画作品展；2025年在798“桥”空间举办“爱莲说”李晓柱教学研究展；多次参加杭州中国画双年展，济南国际双年展，魔灯当代广州艺术博览会。作品被中国美术馆，山东，河北，湖南，陕西，宁夏，成都等美术馆收藏。
Li Xiaozhu, a native of Hebei Province, is a second-grade professor, the first director of the Figure Painting Institute of the National Academy of Chinese Painting, a researcher, a member of the Art Committee, and a doctoral supervisor. He won the Venice Phoenix International Art Award in 2024; and the "2025 Florence Outstanding Contribution Award" in 2025. His solo exhibition "Musella lasiocarpa" Li Xiaozhu's Painting Exhibition was held at the European Museum of Contemporary Art in Spain in 2024; 8 works from the "Musella lasiocarpa" series participated in the Florence Contemporary Art Exhibition in 2024; a parallel exhibition of the "Musella lasiocarpa" series was held at the "Venice Biennale" in 2024; and "Rebirth" Li Xiaozhu's Art Exhibition was held at the Anderson Museum in Rome in 2025. In 2024, "Lotus Surging in the Heart" Li Xiaozhu's Painting Exhibition was held in 798; in 2025, "On Loving Lotus" Li Xiaozhu's Teaching and Research Exhibition was held in the "Bridge" space of 798. He has participated in the Hangzhou Chinese Painting Biennale, Jinan International Biennale, and Magic Lantern Contemporary Guangzhou Art Fair for many times. His works are collected by the National Art Museum of China, as well as art museums in Shandong, Hebei, Hunan, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Chengdu and other places.

马威，中国美术家协会会员，国家一级美术师，中国人民大学画院特聘导师，中国国家画院李晓柱导师高研班助理，“和平之旅”文化交流中心常务理事，乌兹别克斯坦科学艺术学院客座教授，2014年作品参加外交部，文化部主办的国际艺术家绘画作品展在人民大会堂金色大厅展出，并荣获国际艺术家和平奖，作品多次代表国家参加上合峰会组织的国际艺术家联展，多次在国外展出并作为国礼赠予国外政府及美术馆，多幅作品被国务院办公厅及各大博物馆收藏。

About Curator
夏可君
Xia Kejun
哲学家，评论家与策展人。曾留学于德国弗莱堡大学与法国斯特拉斯堡大学，现为中国人民大学文学院教授。著述十余部，从“无用”出发，撰有《虚薄：杜尚与庄子》《庖丁解牛》《一个等待与无用的民族：庄子与海德格尔的第二次转向》《无用的文学：卡夫卡与中国》《烟影与面纱》《无用的神学》，以及英文著作Chinese Philosophy and Contemporary Aesthetics, Unthought of Empty。以虚薄艺术，余象绘画，虚托邦，以及锦灰堆等艺术概念，策划艺术展览与学术研讨会200多次。
