
3月26日上午,上海美国商会携手中国国际进口博览局和美国驻沪总领馆农业贸易处,共同举办第九届进博会美国农业与食品馆专场交流会。上海美国商会会长郑艺在开场致辞中指出,进博会是促进美中两国农产品贸易的重要平台,上海美商会为过去三届进博会的美国食品与农业馆的组展和推进发挥了积极作用。美国驻沪总领馆农业贸易处代表强调了美国农业部在支持美国农业生产者和出口商方面所发挥的作用。中国国际进口博览局副局长李国清则围绕本届进博会的资源优势、行业趋势及配套政策作了系统介绍。


随后,进博局代表介绍了农食展区的筹备进展与支持服务,美商会代表回顾了去年的参展成果,并说明了今年的参展计划。在案例分享环节,许氏参业代表讲述了中小企业如何依托进博会及美国食品与农业馆平台,有效利用政策便利、提升品牌影响力。活动最后,上海美国商会与进博局签署合作协议,确认了今年的参展意向。



多位与会者表示,这些务实信息为美国企业更好参与进博会提供了有益参考。作为美中经贸合作的重要组成部分,农业与食品行业将持续从这一平台中获益。上海美国商会将继续与相关部门保持紧密合作,推动更多美国优质农产品和食品企业进入和深耕中国市场。

American Chamber in Shanghai Holds US Agriculture & Food Industry Seminar for 9th CIIE
On March 26, the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai held the “9th CIIE US Agriculture and Food Industry” seminar with participation from the Agricultural Trade Office of the US Consulate General in Shanghai and the China International Import Expo (CIIE) Bureau. In his opening remarks, Chamber President Eric Zheng noted that the CIIE serves as a key platform for deepening US-China agricultural trade, and that the Chamber has been actively involved in the expo by hosting the American Food & Agriculture Pavilion for the past three years. The Agricultural Trade Office emphasized USDA’s role in supporting US agricultural producers and exporters. Li Guoqing, Deputy Director General of the CIIE Bureau, outlined the expo's resource advantages, industry trends and supporting policies.
A representative from the CIIE Bureau introduced the preparation process and support for this year’s pavilion. A representative from Hsu's Ginseng, a key exhibitor in last year’s pavilion, shared how small businesses can leverage the CIIE to enhance brand influence. The event concluded with a signing ceremony between the American Chamber and the CIIE Bureau to confirm this year's participation.
Attendees noted the practical insights provided were valuable for US companies looking to engage with the CIIE. As a key pillar of US-China economic ties, the agriculture and food industry will continue to benefit from the expo. The American Chamber will work closely with its partners to help more US agricultural and food companies enter and develop in Chinese market.
