德国传统的啤酒国度啤酒是德国人的心头好,据统计现在约有5000种不同类型的啤酒。在德国约1300家啤酒厂生产,其中一半以上在德国南部的巴伐利亚州这种多样性啤酒厂在世界范围内是独一无二的。

德国的传统奶酪技术多数来自邻国,德国有着独特的手工奶酪制造传统,德国盛产的奶酪超过600种,年产量达180万吨是整个欧盟里产量最大的国家。德国75%的奶酪产自巴伐利亚州,剩余部分分散在其他州,如石荷州、萨克森-安哈尔特州、黑森州等。

Most of Germany's traditional cheese technology comes from neighboring countries. Germany has a unique tradition of artisanal cheese making.

 

Germany is rich in more than 600 kinds of cheese, with an annual output of 1.8 million tons, which is the largest in the whole European Union. Seventy-five percent of Germany's cheese is produced in Bavaria, with the rest scattered in other states, such as Holland, Saxony-Anhalt and Hesse.

Bierkase cheesewas originated in Germany. Now it is produced in the United States as well.

Cow's milk is used while preparing the cheese. The cheese has powerful smell, mild taste and tastes best when ripen for seven months in highly humid conditions. It is a common ingredient in various bread, soups, and dips.

Bierkase cheese is eaten along with beer and sometimes directly dipping it in the drinks. It can be served with wine or on small slices of rye or pumpernickel bread and some sliced onions.
