在此次呈现中，Toni延续她对日常物、劳作的痕迹与边缘视角的探索，带来运用多元软材料与手工技艺创作的织物、雕塑与装置作品。她使用塑料绳、剪裁的毛巾、面塑土与陶瓷，融入刺绣、簇绒及木雕，在微观视线、身体感知与空间叙事之间编织出新的关联。
她的作品既像临时的栖身之所，又如折叠的私人地图。通过重复的手工劳作，以及从街头智慧中习得的物件安置方式，她叩问“使用”与“痕迹”之间的界限，探询日常之物与情感、记忆、修补之间那些隐秘的连结。作品与展览空间展开对话，构建出能够容纳边缘目光——一只蚂蚁、一个孩子、一块用过的抹布——的叙事，在那里，破烂之物生长出柔软的爱。
In this presentation, Toni continues her exploration of everyday objects, laborious traces, and marginal perspectives, presenting textile, sculptural, and installation works made from diverse soft materials and handcraft techniques. She employs plastic strings, cut towels, flour clay, and ceramics, incorporating embroidery, tufting, and wood carving—weaving new connections between microscopic vision, bodily perception, and spatial narrative.
Her pieces resemble both makeshift shelters and folded private maps. Through repetitive handwork, placements of objects learnt from street-smart observations, she questions the boundaries between “use” and “trace”, exploring the hidden links between everyday objects and emotion, memory, repair. The works engage with the exhibition space, creating narratives that accommodate marginal gazes—an ant, a child, a used dishcloth—where ragged things grow into a tender kind of love.
艺术家简介
赵彤宇 Toni（b.1993）生于湖北，现工作生活于上海。2016年毕业于美国芝加哥艺术学院，获得纯艺术系学士学位。彤宇的创作持续关注物质痕迹与个体经验的交织关系，通过多元媒介探索日常生活的隐秘与怪异。
曾参与展览包括：The Fillet Space（伦敦，2025）；虹美术馆（苏州，2023）；逸空间画廊（南京，2023）；刘海粟美术馆（上海，2022）；Afternoon Projects 画廊（温哥华，2021）；The Shouter修道院公寓（上海，2020）；广东时代美术馆榕树头空间（广州，2018）；Centre A 画廊（温哥华，2016）。曾参与艺术驻地项目：废材驻地（2025，宁德）；昆山杜克大学&上海歌德学院驻地（上海，2023）；栏杆外驻地（2021，上海）；榕树头驻地项目（2018，广州）。曾参与分享会/工作坊项目包括：Space M上海，宁波The Po开春集，上海明当代美术馆，上海大鱼社区营造，昆山杜克大学，上海歌德学院，深圳OCAT青年烩，广州顶上空间等。
Toni Tongyu Zhao (b. 1993. Hubei, China) currently lives and works in Shanghai. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2016. Her practice persistently examines the interplay between material traces and individual experience, employing multimedia approaches to explore the uncanny and absurdities embedded in the mundane.
