Exhibition Introduction

本次展览共展出作品近六十件，涵盖油画、综合材料等多种媒介。参展艺术家均毕业于或就读于中国美术学院，他们的创作实践呈现出当代青年艺术家对日常、身体、时间与空间的持续关注。

This exhibition features nearly sixty works, including oil paintings and mixed media. All the participating artists graduated from or are currently studying at the China Academy of Art. Their creative practices reflect the continuous attention of contemporary young artists to the mundane, the body, time and space.

“在场”，是一个关于存在的状态

你在，我在，作品在。

但当下的我们，真的能“在”吗？在图像与屏幕的包围中，在社交媒体的界面之后，在日复一日的流动与奔波之间，个体的感知还能留下多少属于自己的痕迹？

本次展览邀请十六位青年艺术家，试图在他们的作品中寻找答案。这不是一个试图定义“什么是艺术”的展览，而是一个关于“艺术家如何观看世界”的现场。

从现象学的视角来看，这些实践可被理解为一种“具身的观看”——艺术家不是站在世界之外描摹世界，而是在世界之中，用自己的身体去感知、承受、回应世界的召唤。他们的作品不是世界的图像，而是他们与世界相遇的痕迹。

当观者立于画前，所面对的并非一个封闭的意义世界，而是一个开放的感知场域。

艺术家的“在场”经由画面传递，观者的“在场”在观看中激活——两种临场感在时间的绵延中相互交织、彼此生成。正是这种“之间”的状态，构成了当代绘画最为动人的潜能：在图像泛滥的时代，它依然能够为我们提供一种真实的、未被中介的相遇。

"Present" refers to the state of existence - you are here, I am here, the work is here.

But can we truly be "present" in the present? In the encirclement of images and screens, behind the interfaces of social media, amidst the daily flow and hustle and bustle, how much of an individual's own trace can be left in the perception? 

This exhibition invites sixteen young artists, attempting to find the answers in their works. This is not an exhibition that attempts to define "what is art", but a live presentation about "how artists view the world". 

From the perspective of phenomenology, these practices can be understood as a kind of "embodied observation" - the artists do not merely depict the world from outside, but rather are within the world, using their bodies to perceive, bear, and respond to the world's calls. Their works are not images of the world, but rather the traces of their encounter with the world. 

When the viewer stands in front of the painting, what they face is not a closed world of meaning, but an open field of perception. The "presence" of the artist is conveyed through the picture, and the "presence" of the viewer is activated in the act of viewing - the two senses of presence interweave and generate each other in the duration of time. It is precisely this "intermediate" state that constitutes the most captivating potential of contemporary painting: in an era of image proliferation, it can still provide us with a real, unmediated encounter.
