【进博会·CIIE Countdown】倒计时5天!期待与全球各界朋友相聚上海

The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held from November 5th to 10th. Preparations are largely complete. The event will see participation from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, with 4,108 overseas companies exhibiting across a total exhibition area of over 430,000 square meters, setting new records in scale. Additionally, more than 80 supporting activities, such as trade negotiations and investment promotion, will be organized.

Opening-up is a broad road towards developing oneself and benefiting the world. The CIIE is held to further expand opening-up, transforming China's vast market into a significant opportunity for the world. To build China's ultra-large market into one shared globally and share development opportunities with all countries, the Ministry of Commerce will innovatively launch the "Shared Market: Export to China" brand this year. The launch ceremony for the "Export to China" series will be held on the afternoon of November 4th. Thailand, UAE, Nigeria, Georgia, Sweden, and Colombia will serve as Guest Countries of Honor. The China Pavilion will showcase the latest achievements in comprehensively deepening reforms and advancing high-level opening-up during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period. The Hongqiao Forum will focus on implementing the Global Initiatives, addressing crucial topics like trade security, multilateralism, and the Global South. The World Open Report 2025 and the latest World Open Index will be released.

This year's CIIE will showcase 461 new products, technologies, and services, allowing the Chinese market to serve as a testing ground, profit center, and application field for global innovation. It will continuously explore new frontiers in modern industries, displaying future sectors like the low-altitude economy and humanoid robots. Global leaders in next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, and green low-carbon sectors will present their latest achievements. There will be a continued introduction of new supplies to meet upgraded demand, incorporating new themes such as the silver economy, ice-snow economy, sports economy, and automotive culture tourism, and introducing new platforms for digital and health consumption to help expand goods and services consumption and develop new forms of consumption. The expo will broadly build new consensus on open cooperation. Eight Nobel Laureates and other top scholars will attend the Hongqiao Forum. Over 400 renowned figures from politics, business, and academia will discuss global governance and open cooperation, releasing 21 outcome documents.

企业展进一步扩容。今年展览面积超过36.7万平方米，参展企业在去年3496家的基础上新增了600余家，有290家世界500强和行业龙头企业参展，展览面积和企业总数均创历史新高。组建了43个交易团、700多个交易分团到会洽谈采购。专业观众注册达到44.95万人。中外地方合作进一步走深走实。将创新打造国际友城联展，展示中外地方合作成果。人文交流活动将新增“魅力友城”专区，德国、匈牙利、意大利等国友好城市将参加文艺展演。商品和服务消费进一步“火”起来。11月5日，与本届进博会联动，启动“购在中国”系列活动年度重头戏——2025中国国际精品消费月活动。会期，将举办“进博精品荟”“进博美食荟”“进博文艺荟”系列主题活动。12月份，将首次举办2025进博优品交易会，让更多“进博好物”直达消费端。

The Business Exhibition has further expanded. This year's exhibition area exceeds 367,000 square meters, with over 600 more exhibitors compared to last year's 3,496. It features 290 Fortune 500 and leading industry enterprises, setting new highs in both exhibition area and total number of enterprises. Forty-three trade delegations, comprising over 700 sub-delegations, have been organized for procurement and negotiations. Registered professional visitors have reached 449,500. China-foreign local cooperation will be deepened and substantiated. An innovative International Sister Cities Joint Exhibition will be created to showcase the results of sub-national cooperation. The cultural exchange activities will add a new "Charming Sister Cities" zone, with sister cities from countries like Germany, Hungary, and Italy participating in cultural performances. The consumption of goods and services will be further energized. On November 5th, dovetailing with the CIIE, the key annual event of the "Shopping in China" series—the 2025 China International Quality Consumption Month—will be launched. During the CIIE, themed events like the "CIIE Premium Collection," "CIIE Gourmet Met," and "CIIE Culture & Arts Met" will be held. In December, the 2025 CIIE Select Products Fair will be held for the first time, enabling more "Quality CIIE Products" to reach consumers directly.

Actively aligning with Belt and Road partner countries, enterprises from 123 participating countries will exhibit, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%. There are 163 enterprises from Least Developed Countries (LDCs), up 23.5% year-on-year. To expand unilateral opening-up for LDCs, the Africa Products Zone will be expanded, supporting African countries with diplomatic ties to fully utilize the zero-tariff policy covering 100% of tariff lines. The number of participating African enterprises increased by 80% year-on-year. The Hongqiao Forum will, for the first time, host discussions on "Enhancing Economic Resilience in the Global South" and "Agricultural Sustainable Development in the Global South."
