Thank you. Xie Xie. Dhanyavaad.

Chairman, Office Bearers, distinguished members of the Dongguan Electronics Association, dear friends, it is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you today. On behalf of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council of India, I extend warm greetings and deep respect to our colleagues in China. India and China are two great civilizations, two strong economies, and two proud peoples. When we work together, the possibilities are limitless.

Over the last twenty-five years, the Indian perspective of Chinese companies has undergone a remarkable transformation. At first, China was seen mainly as a cheap source of products. Later, Chinese companies became highly competitive on price and efficiency. Today, they are recognized as champions of global manufacturing and innovation. This journey is inspiring, and it demonstrates how determination and vision can change the destiny of industries.

In the past, Indian companies often competed with their Chinese counterparts. But today, many of us believe collaboration is the better path. Together, we can combine China’s scale and efficiency with India’s talent, innovation, and rapidly growing market. This is not about rivalry—it is about partnership, and partnership is the key to building stronger supply chains and creating sustainable growth for both nations.

India faces the challenge of a large trade deficit and the responsibility to create employment for half a billion people. China too seeks to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports. Both governments are encouraging higher value addition and deeper manufacturing, not just assembly. This alignment of policies creates a perfect opportunity for cooperation between our industries.

India offers Chinese companies a rapidly growing market, and by collaborating with Indian firms, Chinese businesses can manufacture locally and serve this market more effectively. This approach is also a powerful risk mitigation strategy. With two geographical bases—China and India—companies can ensure continuity of exports even during geopolitical challenges. It is a hedge against uncertainty and a way to build resilience for the future.

Joint ventures with Indian companies bring multiple benefits. They allow smooth operations under Indian laws and regulations, provide access to government incentives for manufacturing, and are increasingly being approved by the Indian government even when Chinese companies hold a minority share. This is a true win-win scenario: India gains jobs and technology, China gains market access and resilience, and together we strengthen our global competitiveness.

At this point, I am delighted to share that ESC is hosting the 11th edition of India Electronics Expo 2026 and the 26th edition of Indiasoft 2026 – Global Electronics and IT Exhibitions, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from March 23 to 25, 2026. These flagship events will bring together global leaders, innovators, and buyers in the electronics and IT domains. I warmly extend an invitation to all of you to join us—whether as exhibitors showcasing your capabilities, or as visitors exploring the vast opportunities in the Indian tech market. It will be a unique platform to connect, collaborate, and discover new avenues of growth.

Friends, the world today faces uncertainty, but India and China, with their wisdom and strength, can turn challenges into opportunities. Let us move from competition to collaboration, from imports to value addition, and from uncertainty to resilience. When India and China join hands, we do not just serve our own nations—we serve the world.

Thank you. Xie Xie. Dhanyavaad.
