Soterix Medical Inc. (SMI) was formed to develop and deploy innovative medical treatments focused on neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders and rehabilitation. Founded in 2008, SMI is the world leader in clinical trials for non-invasive neuromodulation working with over 850 medical centers in the US and worldwide. tDCS-Limited Total Energy (LTE™)is an exclusive neuromodulation technology developed by Soterix Medical Inc. Invented at The City College of New York, tDCS-LTE is the only tDCS technology platform optimized for robust low-energy Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation. tDCS-LTE is under investigation in susceptible populations including stroke, pediatric, traumatic brain injury, etc. tDCS-LTE is made possible through a proprietary adaptive stimulation limiting the voltage and power required for tDCS. Soterix Medical tDCS-LTE is the only non-invasive neuromodulation technology further optimized for robust deployment in a wide variety of environments including emergency medicine, field-work, home-use, etc.

High Definition tDCS (HD-tDCS) is an exclusive Neuromodulation technology developed by Soterix Medical Inc. 岗位一:Electrical  Engineering Intern

We  ideally want someone who is purely an EE student as the internship is focused on  assembly and debugging of medical device electronics

Qualified  interns should have general knowledge of basic electronics, lab equipment  (multimeter, oscilloscope etc.) and must be willing to learn. Experience with  PCB design and programming in C/C++ is a plus. 

Qualified  interns choose their own schedule but must be able to commit 20 hrs weekly, and  minimum of 5 hours per shift. Interns will initially get a stipend with  potential to earn more as they gain experience and actively contribute to  company operations. 

Responsibilities: 

-  Soldering and testing new PCB designs 

-  Validation and verification tests on products 

-  Closely work with design engineers to design new PCB 

-  Prepare schematics and layout the PCB 

-  ESD and EMC compliance testing 

岗位二:Image Analysis and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) Intern

Soterix  Medical is immediately looking for a motivated intern who will be part of our  Research and Development (R&D) group. The intern will learn how to build  real-life image-based (MRI) simulation models for clinical trials and medical  device validation. Candidate will have an opportunity to be an author in  research publications

 

Main Job Function:

- Image-Based computer modeling.

- Testing of modeling pipeline.

- Learn how to process data and analyze.

- Documentation, version control, and maintenance of developed software releases.

- On-going support of related image analysis and FEM project.

Core Requirements:

- Sophomore, or Junior in Biomedical Engineering.

- Experience of Matlab.

- Experience with Visual Studio and C++ development (preferred).

- Strong Communication Skills.

岗位三:Quality Engineering Internship

Main Job Function: 

- Quality Inspection: perform quality checks on finished medical devices before being released for shipping, ensures quality standards are always met and adhered to.

- Attention to detail: perform work in accurate, complete, and detailed manner.

- Safety: perform all duties assigned in safe manner, consistent with company safety policies.

- Documentation and reporting: complete all required records, reports, logs, and documentation accurately.

- Communication: communicate any discrepancies to the person(s) responsible for further analysis (non-conformity, deviation, etc.)

Degree Requirements: 

- Sophomore or Junior in Biomedical Engineering.

- Experience working with oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, and other relevant test equipment
