自在观音 / Avalokiteśvara
对于嘉央群培来说，观音在经文里，在画笔上，在心间。BB画廊与嘉央一起，将简练的经文再现为优美的唐卡，一笔一笔，一幅一幅，一画就是十二年。
为此，我们关闭了画廊空间，蛰伏十年，支持嘉央完成了一百三十余幅观音唐卡的绘制。我们看着嘉央一步步从传统热贡唐卡的鲜艳色彩中走出，提炼独属于自己的绘画语言。
面对这样一幅唐卡，感受，即是全部。
For Jiayam Chumpel, Avalokiteśvara (also known as “Guanyin”) exists in scriptures, on the canvas, and in the heart. Together with BB Gallery, Jiayam reproduced concise scriptures into exquisite Thangkas, stroke by stroke, creating one after another, a journey of twelve years.
We closed the gallery space, dormant for a decade, supporting Jiayam in completing more than one hundred and thirty Guanyin Thangkas. We watched as Jiayam stepped out from the brightly painted traditional Regong Thangkas, refining a painting language uniquely his own.
Facing such a Thangka, sensation is everything.

我们是谁？我们从哪里来？又到哪里去？
我们如何面对自己？如何理解人性？如何看待文明与社会，自然与生活？
他们，在艺术中思考，探索，追问，回答。
Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going?
How do we face ourselves? How do we understand humanity? How do we view civilization and society, nature and life?
They contemplate, explore, question, and answer in art.

炽烈如花火，宁静似深海。造型，色彩，笔触，肌理……所有艺术的闪光，只为点燃生命的蓬勃。
看一束花，生长，燃烧，绽放。
Brilliant as fireworks, tranquil as the deep sea. Form, color, brushwork, texture... all flashes of art are only to ignite the vitality of life.
Look at a bouquet of flowers, growing, burning, blooming.
